Ted joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors as Chairman in 2025.
He has been with BC Partners since 2017, where he co-founded and leads BC Partners Credit.
Previously, Ted was President at Apollo Investment Corporation, Chief Investment Officer of Apollo Investment Management, and Senior Portfolio Manager, U.S. Opportunistic Credit. At Apollo, he was also a member of the Senior Management Committee and oversaw its Opportunistic Credit platform. Prior to this, Ted worked at Goldman Sachs where he was Managing Director of the Special Situations Group and ran the Bank Loan and Distressed Investing Desk.
He received a B.A. in Commerce from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
David founded Runway Growth Capital in 2015 and is a member of the firm's investment committee.
David is a seasoned and respected Silicon Valley-based investment executive, with 30 years of experience as a venture capitalist and growth debt lender. As a VC, he has been active in the formation and development of nearly 50 technology companies with 18 IPOs and 14 trade-sales. He was ranked four times by Forbes magazine on their annual Midas List as one of the top 50 venture capitalists; in 2006 he was ranked the #8 VC.
Beginning in 2010, David transitioned from venture capital to growth lending as a Co-Founder of Decathlon Capital Partners, a provider of revenue-based loans to small, fast-growing, bootstrapped companies. His experience at Decathlon opened his eyes to the opportunity to use debt as an alternative to equity to finance the growth of both venture-backed and non-venture backed growth companies. In 2015, he formed what is today Runway Growth Capital to pursue this vision.
David’s commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem is unwavering. He has served on the board and as Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of the National Venture Capital Association (“NVCA”) and has been an active member of the World Economic Forum (“WEF”) community—including as a frequent panelist in Davos, as a member of the Technology Pioneers Selection Committee, the Steering Committee for Entrepreneurship and Successful Growth Strategies, and as an adviser to the Alternative Investments 2020 and Mainstreaming Impact Investing initiatives.
Jennifer joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors in 2025.
Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in private equity, financial services and sales & trading. She is currently Senior Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of The Gores Group (“Gores”) where she oversees firm strategy and the development of new products and partnerships. She also has management responsibilities over the firm’s origination, capital raising, external communications, and corporate development functions. Since joining Gores in 2010, Jennifer has been responsible for raising capital across Gores’ investment vehicles. She is currently an independent director of Portman Ridge Finance Corporation (NASDAQ: PTMN) and Logan Ridge Finance Corporation (NASDAQ: LRFC), BDCs affiliated with BC Partners. Prior to joining Gores, Jennifer was a Director at Sterling Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago. Prior to Sterling, she worked in capital markets at Lehman Brothers in New York. She began her career at Public Financial Management and the Vanguard Group.
She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Alex joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors in 2025.
Alex is an accomplished senior advisor and board director for a number of companies in the Asset Management, Technology, Fintech and Energy Services sectors. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Portman Ridge Finance Corporation (NASDAQ – PTMN) ,Logan Ridge Finance Corporation (NASDAQ – LRFC), BC Partners Lending Corporation, and the BC Partners Interval Funds. Alex previously spent 20 years at Citigroup and was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions group in Global Banking, retiring in February 2017. He was the senior banker responsible for managing Citi’s banking relationships with a number of high profile traditional and alternative asset management companies. Alex oversaw all financings, capital markets activity, M&A and the provision of other banking services and advice for this client base. Prior to Citi, Alex worked at Bank of New York and United Jersey Bank.
He received his B.A. from Rutgers College and his MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
Catherine joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors in 2025.
She is the founder of F2P Ventures, where she collaborates with management teams during periods of pivotal transition to redefine operating models, cultivate strategic partnerships, and raise capital to scale and drive profitability. Catherine brings over 30 years’ experience accessing private and public markets to source investment opportunities and partner with companies and capital providers to drive shareholder value.
Previously, Catherine was a Partner and Head of Credit Investment Solutions at MatlinPatterson leading specialized teams to execute business development strategies globally for the firm’s $14 billion in private equity and alternative investment assets. Prior to that, she founded Frey Capital Advisors to execute the entire arc of business development strategy for credit focused hedge fund managers. In an active leadership role at her clients’ firms, she leveraged a deep understanding of capital markets and credit risk to cultivate long-term institutional investor relationships and raise over $1.5 billion.
As a Managing Director at Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley, Catherine held senior positions in the High Yield and Distressed Debt Sales & Trading Groups, steering debt financing in the public and private markets for the firms’ largest corporate clients. She began her career as an investment banker at Drexel Burnham Lambert and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where corporate restructuring, risk mitigation, and M&A became the foundation of her financial engineering skills.
Catherine holds a BSE from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and played Division 1 tennis. She is a proud mentor for American Corporate Partners serving US veterans transitioning from the military and for Wharton Women guiding students on their career journey.
Gary joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors in 2016.
He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Accela, Inc., a provider of technology solutions, since December 2018. Prior to joining Accela, Gary served as managing director of AVG Technologies N.V.’s management board and as Chief Executive Officer of AVG from 2013 to December 2016. Prior to joining AVG, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Mozilla Corporation from 2010 to 2013. Prior to joining Mozilla, Gary held senior leadership roles as Senior Vice President of Markets, Solutions & Products at Sybase through to the acquisition by SAP, and as General Manager and Vice President of Mobile & Devices at Macromedia and Adobe. Previously, he led Zi Corporation, a public company specializing in embedded software and services for mobile and consumer devices. Before founding Zi Corporation, Gary spent 10 years at IBM in leadership positions in product management, sales, marketing and operations within the global software division.
He graduated from the University of Calgary, in Canada, with his Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA with distinction. Gary serves on the advisory board of DocuSign, and the board of directors of Desire to Learn (D2L), ePhox Corporation, Sensory, Inc. and Make-a-Wish Foundation (Bay Area Chapter). He is also a member of the University of Calgary Management Advisory Council.
Julie joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors in 2017.
She has over 25 years of experience in investment banking, debt capital markets and leveraged finance which includes marketing, credit analysis, structuring and negotiating terms for global debt issuances. She is currently an Independent Director at Investcorp Credit Management BDC, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICMB), a middle market focused BDC lender. Julie began her career in corporate finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert and after earning an MBA, she spent nearly ten years at Bankers Trust providing loan and bond financing to corporate and private equity clients. Julie was a Managing Director at Citibank from 1999 to 2009 where she served as Co-Head of Leveraged Finance. Julie was also formerly Co-Head of Leveraged Finance at Nomura Securities before she retired from banking.
Julie earned a BA in Economics and Psychology from Columbia College and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School.
Robert joined the Runway Growth Finance Corp. Board of Directors in 2025.
Since 2020, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of BLST Holdings, LLC, a billion dollar E-Commerce retailer operating under the Fingerhut and Orchard Brands labels. Robert was previously with Imperial Capital for 14 years where he served as Head of Investment Banking in New York and National Co-Head of the Restructuring Practice. Previously he was with Ernst & Young and its affiliated entities for 19 years and served as Partner in the National Corporate Finance Practice and a Member of its Board of Managers. He began his career with Price Waterhouse where he earned his CPA accreditation and later worked for WR Grace in their corporate finance group focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Robert has served on over 2 dozen Boards of Directors and served as CEO, President or Chairman of several publicly and privately traded companies.
He graduated from Bucknell University with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and earned a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from New York University. Robert currently serves as Independent Director on the Boards of Horizon Maritime Holdings, Worldwide Machinery, Zips Car Wash, KAL Freight and as a Director on BC Capital Funds.
